Mission
Technology for people
Technology was created for people, to serve them and make their lives easier. Its purpose should never be to widen social differences or to increase value for investors at the expense of the rest of society. That’s why at sowi.tech, we do not facilitate bad practices esed by big tech.
Only organic, free range technology
Large and generative language models have been built on stolen intellectual property, exploitation and a violation of every possible principle. This technology serves, at best, to extract value from the lower strata of society and enrich the wealthiest and most influential people, and in one of the worst-case scenarios, as a means of oppression and a tool of mass murder. The technology itself is also unprofitable and socially harmful.
And this is just a small fraction of a vast list of problems associated with it.
That’s why sowi.tech declares its opposition to the use of LLMs and genAI. At no stage of the production of our software or the provision of services are such tools used. Everything that is created is the result of the hard work, extensive knowledge and considerable experience of those involved.
Digital independency
The aim of sowi.tech is to create an friendly environment to fostering digital independence. Among the services we provide, or plan to provide, are those that serve as alternatives to those offered by Big Tech.
We operate on the principle that users’ data belongs to them and no one else has the right to access it. That is why we do not implement any form of tracking, algorithms or machine learning, and we endeavour to secure the data so that only the owners have access to it.
We do not store any logs apart from standard application logs, which are intended to report service malfunctions. So, sorry, dear authorities, our servers won’t tell you a thing. That’s just the way it is.
European technology on European infrastructure
sowi.tech makes every effort to ensure that, as far as possible, all the services we provide are hosted on servers in Europe. That is why our services are hosted on our servers located in France, Germany and Poland. The only exceptions to this rule that we allow are cases where the technology used leaves us with no other choice.
Who are we
For this moment sowi.tech is one person: Piotr Sowa (site in Polish).
sowi.tech was created on 1 March 2023 as a one-man economic activity. This decision resulted from a requirement to cooperate with companies operating in the IT industry in and outside the country. This activity provides services related to software (software design and production), IT consulting and administration of information-frame systems.
The manufactured software is written most often using the .NET framework (in different variants) and C# language. Also, depending on the type of system, technologies and software such as HTML5, CSS, ECMAScript (JavaScript), Docker Compose, Linux can be used.
