§2. Collected User Data
1. Preliminary information

We strongly believe in the right to remain anonymous, so we make every effort to limit the collection and use of user data as much as possible.

Globally, we collect information about the source and target of network traffic interacting with our systems and services. This information is stored on the sowi.tech’s servers for no more than 30 days and is used for quality analysis of the services provided and in the monitoring systems.

In addition, each Logged In User has the right to view, modify and delete data from any system at any time, which will result in loss of access to the system. Exception is the Authentication and Authorisation System, where deletion of data will result in the loss of access to other systems and services provided exclusively for the Logged In User.

The inspection and editing of data is carried out by a specific service or service provided by the sowi.tech, and the same goes for the removal. If this is impossible for some reason, unavailable or difficult, please contact the Data Administrator.

sowi.tech does not expect and does not need personal data of the User, however, we cannot prohibit Users from storing it within the service provided. Because of that we make the greatest efforts to ensure that all data, regardless of their level of secrecy and privacy, is safe with us.

However, we are unable to guarantee this security when the User decides to deal irresponsiblely with their own data. Therefore, we ask you to consider and limit the data provided to the necessary minimum (in fact not only within systems and services of sowi.tech, it is a good practice in general). We are not responsible for incorrect handling of data by the User.

2. (sowi.tech)’s main site

Home site does not store or process any additional data without User’s interaction.

You can choose to store and process two things here:

Both of this information can be removed through the application settings in the User’s web browser.

The use (or not) of this information does not affect the functionality of the website in any way.

3. Security system against unauthorized access

In order to protect ourselves against unauthorized and harmful access to and abuses of services of sowi.tech, they are protected by several settings, algorithms and services that analyze network traffic. During this analysis, the User’s device is checked. This data is not stored or processed in any way, other than for the preliminary analysis. After this, it is stored for up to 30 days in server logs and User’s device. You can at any time confirm the existence of this trace and delete it in your browser, but this will reinitialize the analysis with the next use of the systems and services of sowi.tech.

4. Authentication and Authorisation System auth.sowi.tech (Authentik)

As this system is used to prove your identity, it stores information such as e-mail address, ID (user name) and password for your account. You can choose to fill in additional data, for example the profile name displayed, but this is fully voluntary and you can make changes or delete them freely.

After logging on the computer, the data of the Logged In User will be stored in a session cookie. This can be removed by logging out or deleting your browsing data in your browser.

The deletion of the account in the Authentication and Authorisation System occurs either by selecting the appropriate option in the system or by contacting the Data Administrator.

The system may also be located at other addresses, but it will still be appropriately marked so that the User knows whose service he communicates with.

5. Other services

Other systems and services provided by sowi.tech will process user data in accordance with the following privacy policy:

§3. Data storage

sowi.tech is deeply rooted in ideas such as digital independence and freedom. Therefore, whenever possible, our own architecture is used, or hosted by third parties from the European entities.

As of 8 December 2025, systems and services of sowi.tech have their home in the following countries (alphabically): France, Germany, Poland.

The third parties mentioned above are: OVH and Hetzner.

The only non-European company for which we pay a service fee and which indirectly processes your data is Mailgun, which is responsible for mass and transactional mailing. This is due to the limitations of the Ghost project. However, sowi.tech undertakes to change the service provider as soon as it will become possible. The status of possibility to switch service providers can be traced at Ghost’s website.

In addition, depending on the service, the sowi.tech may act as an intermediary for the User in communication with third parties. An example of such service is Postiz which allows you to manage your social media profiles.

§4. Changes in Privacy Policy

In order to ensure that the Privacy Policy meets the current requirements imposed by the laws at all times, sowi.tech reserves the right to make changes to it at any time. This also applies to cases where changes to the Privacy Policy are required because of new or changed systems or services.
